Our role is to manage the project and provide Subject Matter Experts.
A CPQ Implementation is a project that includes requirements across people, process and technology.
Our CPQ Implementation Project Management Plans typically consist of eight (8) critical elements, including:
- Requirements Definition mapping the business processes, user requirements, workflow automations, reporting needs and integrations to existing systems across sales, customer service operations, warehousing, field service operations, and customer portal self-service and eCommerce.
- Stakeholder identification including a Roles & Responsibilities matrix specifying who is responsible for each element and task needed to deliver the solution
- Task list and Schedule detailing who does what by when
- Delivery Methodology specifying how the work elements will be documented, completed, filed and accessed by subsequent tasks.
- Change Request mechanism detailing the process and sign offs required to alter the scope, timeline or resourcing of the project, including the preparation of variation orders.
- Deliverable list including timeframes and due dates
- Risk Management log including fully documented and agreed Project Assumptions, Dependencies and Risks

What do I need to do to get ready to use automated CPQ?
We will walk you through the Project Plan so we both know exactly what needs to be done, by who and in what timeframe

Regarding the implementation, how do I manage data migration?
Don't worry this is covered in our Implementation Project Plan and will be discussed in detail. Options range from no migration (start fresh) to only migrate open deals to full historical migrations.

What are the risks in a CPQ project?
CPQ project risks are identified and mitigated during the preparation of the Project Management Plan. All assumptions and dependencies are documented, acknowledged, and agreed upon at the outset.

How does the CPQ project stay within its budget?
Our PMP includes a Change Request Process designed to keep the project on budget. As the project progresses, user requirements can emerge, which change the scope of work. The change Request Process formalises the cost of including these in the project and decides whether to include them or create a Phase 2 Requirements log.
